Papers pertaining to Breece D'J Pancake, 1966, 1999-2002.

The collection consists chiefly of the correspondence of John Casey acting as Pancake's literary executor. Topics include film rights, new editions of Pancake's collected short stories, a translation into German, and the second annual West Virginia Book Festival. The collection also contains an afterword to a new edition by Andre Dubus II, a photograph of Breece with his mother at Appomattox, Va., in 1966, and photographs of Pancake family relatives, 1992-2001. Helen Pancake is the chief correspondent.
